My wife calls me Mr. Christmas. I just love this time of the year. I have been listening to Christmas music since before Thanksgiving. The house is decorated and the outside lights are bigger and better than last year. Our son bought his first home this year and he went and bought lots of lots and decorated the house. He sent us pictures and called himself Griswold. You remember, from the movie with Chevy Chase. This year I added lights to the very top of the roof line for the first time and we sent him our picture and he said he was now headed to Home Depot to get more lights. And the competition between son and dad goes on. Our daughters entered into it as well and the one in Southlake, Texas sent hers but she comes in third and we are waiting for the one in Kokomo, Indiana who says theirs top them all. We just have to wait and see.
We don't want to forget the real reason for this Christmas celebration and it all started over 2,000 years ago in a small town in Bethlehem. That is the real reason for this time of year and everyday of the year. The lights just brighten the night and make it all that happier for this time of celebration.
